Welcome to our young families and couples page!

At WHC, we believe that young families and couples are not only the future of our church but also the lifeblood of our nation and society as a whole. Because couples and families are so critically important to us, we have dedicated a distinct ministry to this age group. As the Pastor of Young Families and Couples, my desire is to see young people live passionate, authentic and transparent lives with each other and the world.
We want to get away from the “masquerade” that has infected many churches for so long, where everyone pretends they are ok and life is perfect. We are all broken pots, with real struggles and problems, which is why we need each other so much!

The two key goals of this ministry are to foster true biblical discipleship and authentic Christian fellowship. The way we do this is by hanging out in someone’s home on Sunday nights and studying God’s Word. We call this our Life Group, or small group. We also plan regular “hang-outs” so we can spend time with each other and just have fun, whether it be a cookout or an afternoon at the park. We also do ministry projects together to reach out to the down and out in our community with the love of Christ. So if you are a young couple or family in your 20’s, 30’s or 40’s, let me hear from you! I’d love to get to know you and help you get plugged in or just answer any questions you may have.
